A World of Gimmicks: College World: A Day In The Life (Of Me, Duh.)

Sometimes, when I’m in a bad mood (which, surprisingly is just about every day…I think it’s due to my lack of sleep) I wish it were rainy and dark outside.

In fact I’d much rather it be gloomy. Then it would match my mood and I’d be happy.

Here in the world of college sleep is quite evasive. And I try SO hard. I get my pj’s on, get comfy in my bed…and sit there...for a while staring at my poster.

And then after waiting, I decide to get up and be productive.

And by productive I mean look at the internet for hours.

And them BAM it’s 2:39 in the morning and my eyes are gathering crust, and I feel strangely giddy and depressed… at the same time.

So by that point I figure it’s probably the best idea for me to sleep before I do something rash.

After having some weird dream that’s oddly detailed (I’ve woken up with movie ideas…..don’t hate bro. This also might have something to do with the poster I look at before I sleep. If you forgot already, see above.) I JOLT awake.

HAHAH, just kidding, I never jolt, I just stay fully asleep until exactly 11 minutes before my class is supposed to start.

I apologize professors for not being fully awake in the morning.

In college world, even 10:00 o’clock is far too early.

After groggily making it through class (…like a zombie. OH MY LANTA. What if I’m a zombie?...won't think about that now...BRAINZ) I trudge up the mountain to the place of food.

A safe haven in college world. I love food. And bacon. And when mac and cheese is served? OH MAN.

THEN I EAT ALL THE FOOD IN SIGHT.

…In my head. It usually goes more like this:

After, I head to my room and sit watching youtube videos of cats. Seriously though. Watch this:

But I digress. (WAIT I TAKE THAT BACK...I'm not going to digress..What does digress mean? Apparently it means "To Leave the main subject temporarily in speech or writing." Awkward. Yet another phrase I consistently use wrong.)

And this is why I'm in college.

Once I thought that the word "plethora" was pronounced PLEH-THOR-AH, like a dinosaur. I learned the hard way that it was not, in fact, pronounced that way. I won't go into that.

Also, apparently it's pronounced "NIGH-KEY" and not "NIGH-CK."

BACK TO SCHOOL. To prove to dad I'm not a fool.
